Little Sparrow (Style: Alternative)
Original fairy tale-style songs, a unique voice and theatrical presence lift Little Sparrow (Katie Ware) out of easy genre classification. There are gothic and dark folk undertones but also a spirit of blithe playfulness. Often compared to Kate Bush and PJ Harvey, she’s been described by Chris Hawkins of BBC Radio 2 and 6 as “A breathtaking vocalist delivering original and beautiful songs. An incredibly gifted songwriter with a great stage presence and a gorgeous voice.” Her latest album is Feather Moon.

Amanda Whiting (Style: Harp/Jazz)
Amanda and her quartet delighted us last season with her mesmerising original compositions for the harp. Ever since, she and her musicians have been asking to come back, so we're hugely pleased to have them in the run-up to Christmas. Classically trained, Amanda has forged her own path via stints with Jamie Cullum and Danii Minogue(!); has interpreted Under Milk Wood with Cerys Matthews; won critical acclaim for her 'liminal' albums and EPs; and is much in demand in the UK and internationally
